This website is based on the design of a typical North Indian horoscope. The diamond and triangle shapes the chart contains are known as “Houses”, and each one corresponds to a different aspect of life.

This is the First House or Ascendant and provides an overall “snapshot” of almost everything about a person. It is always the point of entry when reading a chart and, in the context of this website, I would like to use it to provide a general introduction, and dedication, to this practice …

The purpose of Vedic Astrology (also known as Jyotish) is to raise awareness about our inherent natures, and the paths our lives take through time. Like many ancient practices, it provides an opportunity for greater alignment, and the ability to live with more contentment, and more ease. Ultimately, the aim is that by encouraging these things within ourselves, they can be extended outward to the world we live in and, in turn, and to the universe around us all. This is why I consider this knowledge to be so deeply valuable, and so beautiful. And it is to these aims that I offer what I know in the field of Vedic Astrology.
